How time flies. Just the second game this scribe reviewed for Push Square, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is getting a debatably warranted Game of the Year edition. Cramming together four free DLCs and six premium expansions, with ten Mythic Paths to follow and 25 classes to choose from (of which there are 160 archetypes), this all-consuming package of CRPG goodness is available now on PS5.
Wrath of the Righteous' six expansions add an astonishing amount to the game, with a mountain of meaningful content (classes, locations, enemies, companions) that can be woven directly into the main campaign, making the original experience more compelling. Add to that the highly replayable nature of the game, with each of the Mythic Paths representing a meaningfully different playthrough, and you could disappear down this particular rabbit hole quite happily if you're anything like us.
What do you think of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous? Have you ever tried it out? What about Owlcat Games' latest release, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader? Let us know in the comments section below.

Owned this and all dlc for awhile looks like it’s finally time to dive in
I played on PC back when it first came out, had to duck out as it didn’t grab me and was a bit of a technical mess. But I’ve heard it’s one of the best RPG’s out there these days, so I might dive in on console. I wonder if it will allow me to be a Samurai that rides a giant tortoise like Pathfinder 1E lets you.
Owlcat games have been a bit garbage with their console ports for a while. Hoping they finally make the effort with this one because the game looks really cool.
Is it fully voice acted, or does it involve endless reading?
@Fiendish-Beaver A little bit of both. A lot of reading, but some characters are voice acted and do deliver speeches and things. Beyond that, you'll hear a lot of repeated lines every time you engage in a battle, of which there are quite a few.
Cool. Thank you, @J2theEzzo...
You lost my interest at 160 hours. Usually it takes me twice as long as the average completion times to complete a game. This means this game would be 320 hours for me. 😂
I held off this one because the first one was loading screen hell that crashed constantly. Is it any better in that respect?
It's a steep learning curve. But once you have yout head wrapped around the character creator and systems it's easily one the absolute best cRPGs ever made. Cloked over 1.5k hours into this one by now. 😁
@DogPark Yeah, much improved from the hourly crash in Kingmaker. Don't think I've had more then a handful of crashes in total while playing this on the PS5. Load screens are a plenty still, but they're quite snappy IMO.
This game is absolutely incredible. Highly recommended if you have the patience to learn all the mechanics and stick with it. I Just earned the Sadistic Game Design trophy and it kicked my ass. But boy was it satisfying.
Love it, but be careful - it will consume you once you realise how impactful some mythic paths are and you may end up restarting a lot to try new builds. Wonderful game and the devs have shown tremendous support.
